Nigerian Engineers Declare Readiness To Partner Ogun Govt On Mechanisation, Agricultural Processing

ABEOKUTA - Engineers under the aegis of Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Ogun State branch have indicated interest in collaborating with the state government through the Ministry of Agriculture on Agricultural development.

The NSE chairman, Engr. Ahmed Apampa disclosed on Wednesday when he paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Samson Adeola Odedina.

Engr. Apampa who led other members of the association to the state Ministry of Agriculture outlined possible areas of collaboration to include Agricultural processing, Mechanisation among others. 

Ahmed maintained that, the association was impressed with the vision of the state government on the agricultural revolution embarked upon by Governor Dapo Abiodun led administration, assuring to contribute their quota to support the state government. 

In his remark, the State Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Adeola Odedina commended the association's innovation and bold steps in partnering with the state government. 

Odedina harped on the present administration's goal for Agriculture in ensuring food security, job creation and agricultural industrialization, in which the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) can play a significant role.

On hand to receive the team were the Commissioner in the Ministry, Dr. Adeola Odedina and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Agriculture, Dr. (Mrs.) Angel Adelaja-Kuye.
