The new Chief Imam of Egbaland, Sheikh Sa'adallah Bamgbola

ABEOKUTA - The Ogun State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Moruf Afolabi Afuape has congratulated the new Chief Imam of Egbaland, Fadilat Shaykn, Imam Sa’adallah Bamgbola on his new appointment.

Afuape in a statement said, the emergence of the Bamgbola as the leader of the Egba Muslim Community and it’s environs no doubt would continue to strengthen the already love and peace enjoyed by the Muslims within the Egba zone.

He described Bamgbola as a loyal and dedicated head of other mosques in Egba (Olori Ratibi of Egbaland), who diligently served the Late Chief Imam Liadi Orunsolu in achieving his feet as Chief Imam of Egbaland during his life time.

The Commissioner noted “he has no fear in his emergence as the Chief Imam of Egba, as his antecedent in managing other mosques in Egba and level of Islamic literacy would further reposition Egba Muslims in higher pedestal among committee of world Muslims”.

He enjoined Bamgbola to hold the ball firmly and use his influence in attracting more converts, as well as development to the Egbaland both locally and internationally in other to stand tall among others. 

Afuape wishes him long reign in good health and pray for his successful tenure of office as the new Chief Imam of Egbaland.
