Hon. Sherif Yusuf, OGHA Majority Leader Thanks Constituents For Support In One Year

ABEOKUTA - Hon. Yusuf Sherif, the Majority Leader, Ogun House of Assembly, representing Ado Odo-Ota State constituency 1, has expressed profound appreciation to members of his constituency for their support since the assumption of office as a member of the House. 

Hon. Sherif stated this during a media chat with newsmen in Abeokuta on Wednesday to commemorate his one year in office. 

The majority leader who noted that if not for the support from members of his constituency,  he would not have made impacts in the last one year. 

He maintained that despite several litigations he faced at the wake of the administration, he was still able to reel out meaningful achievements, due to the unalloyed supports he got from his people. 

He noted that he had supported people oriented bills and resolutions on the floor of the Hallowed Chamber.  

He had also moved over 20 motions for the passage since the inception of the 9th legislature.

Hon. Sherif assured that he would continue to ensure that dividends of democracy cuts across the nooks and crannies of Ado Odo Ota 1 constituency, adding that he would not toy with the trust bestowed on him by his people. 

He said he would continue to facilitate programmes that would be of great benefit to his people.

"With God, I was able to provide equipment for the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) in Ota to ease the stress encountered by our students during registration of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination". 

"I also provided relief materials and food stuffs as palliative to the poor and vulnerable in the constituency during the COVID - 19 pandemic period," he said. 

Hon. Sheriff however promised to continue being a good representative and also ensure that the plight of the people are addressed accordingly, through proper legislations.
