ABEOKUTA - A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun state, Hon. Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade has told Chief Yemi Sanusi not to be over joyous over his reappointment as the party's Caretaker Chairman in the state, saying "he that holds the sharp end of the knife has limited joy".
Chief Yemi Sanusi alongside, Tunde Oladunjoye and Ayo Olubori were re-appointed by the APC Interim National Executive Committee as Chairman, Publicity Secretary and Secretary respectively during the week to paddle the affairs of the party for the next six months.
Following the reappointment, party members loyal to the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun set the social media ablaze with array of congratulatory messages.
But Hon. Akinlade in a press statement signed by his Media Aide, Adelani Azeez said the celebration was unnecessary as the legally elected 26-man State Executives led by the erstwhile party chairman in the state, Chief Derin Adebiyi was unceremoniously and illegally ousted by the infamous 3-man caretaker committee.
Triple A as fondly called noted that, inspite of the Caretaker committee, Chief Derin has continued to direct the affairs of the party and majority of its members in the state.
The former House of Representatives member, however, implored party faithful across the state to remain calm and await further directive from the former governor of the state, Senator Ibikunle Amosun.
He therefore affirmed his loyalty to the party national leadership and President Muhammadu Buhari.
