Customs Killings: Yewa South Council Boss Sues For Calm

ABEOKUTA - The Chairman, Yewa South local government area of Ogun state, Mr. Fagbenro Rahmon Olabode has called for calm over the killing of a young man by men of Nigeria Customs Service at Oke-Odan. 


Mr. Fagbenro in a statement issued recently assured the youths that, investigation has been launched to unravel cause of the extra judicial killings by the Customs Officers. 


The council chairman therefore urged the people to go about their normal daily activities.


"Following the incident that happened in oke odan in early hour of thursday, 31st of December, 2020, where a life was lost to the sporadic gunshot by the men of Nigeria Customs Service, Oke-Odan, Odan town. 


"While I appeal for calm, I want to assure you that necessary people at the helms of affairs in Ogun State have been informed, the police, the military as such have been contacted. 


"Normalcy has been resorted, be rest assured that investigation has been opened to unravel cause of the extra judicial killing while we go about out normal daily activities."
