ABEOKUTA - Like the Biblical Jesus Christ who fed 5,000 congregants with five loaves of bread and two fishes, the Chief Executive Officer of M & J Bread, Comrade Olusegun Clement on Friday stormed the streets of Abeokuta to distribute free loaves of bread to beggars and other downtrodden on the streets.
Clement, a former Special Assistant to the former governor of Ogun state, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, said he found the philanthropic act as necessary considering the hardship currently ravaging the country.
Clement said it is the usual policy of the company to give back to the community on quarterly basis but emphasized that the philanthropic gesture became important to fill in against the hardship that comes with the first month of the year.
