ABEOKUTA - Chieftains of All Progressive Congress, (APC) in Abeokuta South local government area of Ogun State on Monday visited the Caretaker Chairman of the council area, Hon. Ayodeji Shomide to rejoice with him for successful one year in office.
The party chairman in the local government, Hon. Adetunji Henry Fagbenro, popularly known as Agbomola who led the delegation to the local government chairman, described Shomide as a prolific administrator, stressing that he has etched his name in gold.
He added that he was so impressed by his great achievements within one year in office.
Fagbenro noted that Shomide has demonstrated the trait of leadership, saying that the entire APC is proud of him.
"The party chairman said, ''we are here today to rejoice with the council chairman, Hon. Ayodeji Shomide who has made us proud within one year in office. He has demonstrated the trait of leadership. He has been able to transform Abeokuta South with meagre resources'' He concluded.
Meanwhile, a party leader, Hon. Adegun Olalekan commended Shomide, saying that he has performed wonderful well in office.
Also the secretary to the local government, Alhaji Nurudeen Ayorinde appreciated the party members for the honorary visit.
He said that the members of the party have been so supportive.
Ayorinde also described Shomide as a good listener, saying that he always listen to comments any time.
He therefore lauded his efforts towards transforming Abeokuta South.
