Achudume informed that, the lecture became necessary with a view to deliberate on the current situation in the Country and charting the way forward.
He submitted that the CAN National President was chosen to be the Guest Speaker by virtue of his position as well as his blunt stand on burning national issues .
Speaking on the theme of the 2021 Holy Convention entitled 'The State Of The Nation: The Way Forward', the national president, Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Samson Ayokunle noted that, leadership comes with a deep sense of responsibility, commitment, and selflessness, noting that good leadership fosters progress.
Describing the multi-ethnicity of Nigeria as unique, Reverend Ayokunle maintained that the people must remain undivided.
The CAN National President explained that problems which include insecurity, corruption, youth unemployment, infrastructural decay and inadequacy, among others need a more holistic approach to tackle.
The number one christian in the country while describing the youths as the future of the country called on the authorities to urgently address the problem of youth unemployment.
