Ogun LG Poll: DA Likeminds Declares Support For Ayorinde In Abeokuta North

ABEOKUTA  - As the local government elections in Ogun state draw nearer, the candidacy of the APC Chairmanship candidate in Abeokuta North local government, Mr. Adebayo Abdulsalam Ayorinde is gathering more momentum. 

Just on Friday, a political support group for Governor Dapo Abiodun, DA Likeminds declared its readiness to work for the success of the party's chairmanship candidate in the forthcoming council poll. 

The group coordinator in Abeokuta North local government, Mr. Akinyele Ogunpola maintained that, the objectives of the group is to mobilize for the party and political aspiration of the Governor. 

Ogunpola maintained it is expedient for the group to work for Ayorinde as his emergence as council chairman would transform to the Governor's re-election in 2023.

According to him, "we're declaring our support for Hon. Ayorinde because of his capability and attencedent as a grassroots politician and loyal party man.

"He contested for the same post in 2015, but was disqualified due to party supremacy, yet, remained in the party and contributed so much for the party especially during the 2019 general elections. 

"Our resolve at Dapo Abiodun Likeminds is to support all APC candidates at the election and mobilize for them."

Ogunpola therefore, urged all APC to rally round the party's candidate at the poll and put aside political differences during the primary. 

While reacting, Hon. Ayorinde commended the group for its political emancipation and grassroots mobilization in the local government, assuring them of his full support when the need arises.
