Majekodunmi Extols Shomide's Giants Stride In Abeokuta South

ABEOKUTA - The Executive Chairman, Abeokuta South local government, Hon. Omolaja Majekodunmi has extolled the immediate past Chairman of the council area, Hon. Ayodeji Shomide for his good performance while at the helms of the local government.

Majekodunmi stated this on Monday when the immediate past Chairman of the council area, Hon. Ayodeji Shomide paid him a courtesy visit at the council secretariat on Monday.

He said Shomide performed exceptionally during his two years in office, stressing to build on the monumental achievements of his predecessor.

"I want to sincerely thank Hon. Shomide for handing over the council officially to me in good state. I promise to perform beyond expectation and follow the footsteps I met on ground by my predecessor."

The council Chairman who used the occasion to clear the air on allegation of stopping contractors on the ongoing projects initiated by Shomide's administration noted that, his administration would implement human capital projects that will be beneficial to all and sundry.

Speaking earlier, Hon. Shomide explained that the visit was to initiate continuity support for Majekodunmi's administration.

"The visit was to initiate continuity support for the new administration. We were able to discuss long time prospects that was identified by our administration, which we were unable to implement within the shortest period of our stay in office. 

"We also discuss challenges faced by our administration. The essence of our visit is to support the new administration to move our local government further from where we stopped."
