ABEOKUTA - The Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) has disclosed that not less than 5,000 theatre practitioners are expected at the 2021 Conference of Nigerian Arts and Films (CONAF 2021) billed to hold in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.
The Deputy National President of the association and Chairman, Planning Committee, Alhaji Tajudeen Olanrewaju disclosed this on Tuesday at a press conference heralding the event.
According to him, the 4-Day event which will hold between December 15 -18, 2021 is to celebrate excellence, hard work, and professionalism, as well as create exposure for budding talents to promote creativity.
The TAMPAN Deputy President said the conference will create opportunities for constructive engagements and self-employment.
He stressed further that, the conference will begin with a very colourful opening ceremony where celebrities would appear and identify with their state chapters.
He, however, called on members of the association and participants to register online on the association's website www.tampan.org for their accreditation.

"However, since we desire the revival of our culture and dying values, this conference set target is to encourage quality productions by promoting creativity and originality.
"It will also help to discover budding talents and create opportunities for constructive engagements and self-employment. In the course of this convocation, we shall celebrate and decorate our partners in progress, show to the world their contributions to the development of creative industry in Nigeria."
Speaking on the theme for the conference "Film as a Tangible Asset", TAMPAN National President, Mr. Bolaji Amusan known as Mr. Latin said movie remains a personal property of every filmmaker.
Mr. Latin emphasized that, the conference will focus on profit-making for movie producers to excel in the industry.
