Police Vow To Prosecute Osoba For Killing Buhari's Son

ABEOKUTA - The Ogun state police command has vowed to prosecute the two suspected killers of Yusuf Buhari who was murdered last week in Ogun State.


THE ENCOUNTER NEWS reports that Yusuf Buhari was on 15th March, 2022 killed by two hoodlums, Ismail Hammed and Osoba Yakubu and took away his motorcycle.


The suspects, during interrogation confessed to have killed the victim and buried him in a bush.


While parading the suspects to the press on Monday, the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole assured that the suspects would be charged to court this week.


Similarly, the Ogun state police command has paraded two murder suspects involved in the killing of a 20-year-old girl, Favour Okumazor.


The suspects, Chidi Samuel and Paul Zakari who are co-founders of a Christian Fellowship group, "Life Builders Network" took some youths numbering seven to an isolated area in Oyan Village via Imala for what they called Bible study and fellowship.


The Commissioner of Police who paraded the suspects explained that one of the youths fell sick and the suspects refused to let the girl go which later led to the victim's death.


CP Bankole noted that, when the lady died, the suspects buried her secretly in the bush.


He said one of the captured youths who escaped from the village informed the victim's parents which led to the arrest of the two suspects.


The command also paraded two suspected notorious kidnappers who were responsible for the abduction of one Ajibola Salimot Adejoke in February, 2022 at her residence in Oke-Odo off Ayetoro road, Abeokuta.


The suspects also kidnapped one Victoria Oladoyin at Aboba area, Sodeke Titun on February 26, 2022.


Two siblings, Esther Kehinde and David Kehinde were also kidnapped by the gang in Ayetoro area of Ogun state.
