Yayi Set Up 50m Endowment Fund For Ilaro Indigent Students

ABEOKUTA - Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI) has set up 50 million endowment fund to support indigent students who cannot afford their tuition fee.  


Adeola stated this at the 20th convocation ceremony of the Federal Polytechnic,  Ilaro where he was decorated the highest honorary award of the institution. 


The Senator who has contribute immensely to the growth and development of the institution, also pledged to do more than before to support the people of Yewaland 


He said that he will continue to work for the greatness and upliftment of the institution as it is the only Federal institution located in Yewaland 


He further promised to put some things in place which are; restoration of power supply to the people of Ilaro, an Adeola award for the best graduating student each year with the cost of 500,000. He also promise to give the best graduating student of 2020/2021 academic session with CGPA of 3.97 the sum of 1m


"I am resolute to serve my people, I will continue to work for the greatness and upliftment of the institution"


"I promise to restore electricity as it is one of the challenges in Ilaro"


He also said "I will donate 50m endowment fund to support Indigenes who cannot afford their tuition fee and give 1m donation to the overall best student"


Also speaking the Rector of Federal Polytechnic Ilaro Arc. Olusegun Olanrewaju Aluko listed his achievement so far in office to include; 35 structures were renovated, 28 programmes was added to the academic programmes. 


He said during his tenure the institution enjoyed peaceful atmosphere and industrial harmony. His administration provided workers' rights and privileges without ultimatum and strikes.
