If I Become PDP Presidential Nominee, APC Will Collapse, Says Tambuwal

ABUJA - People Democratic Party (PDP) presidential hopeful and governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, at the weekend, boasted that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will collapse if he picks the party’s ticket, insisting that he is the only person that has the capacity to rebuild the country’s economy.

Tambuwal stated this in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, when he visited to woo delegates to vote for him in the forthcoming presidential primary of the party, adding that he has the capacity, competence, character and temperament to provide quality leadership to Nigerians.

He stated: “I have the competence, character and temperament to provide leadership, and that is why I am appealing to you to vote for the right aspirant.

“I’m sure we want to win the state House of Assembly, governorship seats, and the two chambers of the National Assembly, including the presidency, in 2023. Then we must remain united in the party and in Nigeria,” he stated.

“Agriculture would be given a boost while economic and social policies would address youth unemployment, insecurity and lack of industrialisation, if I am elected.”

Earlier, Mr. Silas Onu, state Chairman of the PDP thanked Tambuwal for the visit to Ebonyi, promising that by May 29, 2023, the PDP would takeover the state Government House and also the Aso Rock Villa.
