JUST-IN: APC Scribe, Omisore, reconciles Gov. Abiodun, Gbenga Daniel

L-R: Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun; one of his predecessors, Otunba Gbenga Daniel and National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Iyiola Omisore during an informal meeting at the Presidential Lodge, Ibara, Abeokuta on Sunday

ABEOKUTA - The sore relationship between the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, and one of his predecessors, Otunba Gbenga Daniel seems to be remedied, following the intervention of the National Secretary, All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Iyiola Omisore.

Governor Abiodun and Otunba Daniel's relationship had gone sore due to the build-up of the 2023 general elections.

THE ENCOUNTER NEWS reports that the two politicians have gone their separate ways following the alleged decision of the governor to root for another Ijebu man in the person of Otunba Seyi Oduntan as the party's candidate for Ogun East Senatorial District against the senatorial ambition of former governor Gbenga Daniel.

A move that has slightly severed the duo relationship.

Otunba Daniel is already contemplating on joining the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), but such a move may have been botched which orchestrated the visitation of the APC scribe to Ogun state to mend the fence.

Although, the purpose of the APC National Secretary remains unknown, but an inside source from the Presidential lodge said the visit was to reconcile Governor Abiodun and Otunba Daniel.
