After Media Outcry, Gov. Abiodun Provides Chairs, Tables For St. Kizito High School Students

 


ABEOKUTA - The Ogun State Government has announced the provision of chairs and tables for students of St. Kizito High School, Iwopin, in Ogun Waterside Area of the state.


This development, came following series of media reports that students of St. Kizito High School were writing their 3rd semester examinations on bare floor, a situation that has subjected Governor Dapo Abiodun to public ridicule.


Pictures of the ugly situation were circulated on social media as well which triggered members of the public and stakeholders to condemned the state government for paying lip service to education.


The state government, through the social media handles of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Media, Emmanuel Ojo in a short message announced the procurement of new chairs for the students.


The message reads, "I'd like to inform everyone that students of St. Kizito High School, Iwopin, Ogun Waterside, Ogun State will no longer write their promotion exams sitting on bare floor, as we've provided them with chairs and tables. This is the second batch that we'd be supplying the school."
