Eid-el-Kabir: Bidemi Rufai Extends Sallah Palliatives To APC Members In Ijebu-Ode

ABEOKUTA - A former House of Representatives aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Abidemi Rufai on Tuesday distributed the Eid-el-kabir palliatives to party loyalists in Ijebu-Ode local government area of Ogun state.

According to him, the palliatives which contains bags of rice and cash donations was designed to cushion the effect of Covid-19 on the people especially during the Eid-El-Kabir celebration.

Some of the beneficiaries of the stimulus package includes party leaders, all ward APC Chairmen, his campaign coordinators as well as members of the Ogun state community social orientation and safety corps, otherwise known as So-Safe Corps, Ijebu-Ode.

The Lagos based real estate merchant however pleaded with Muslim faithful to live in harmony, compassion as the festive period beckons.

He also appealed to the people to continue to maintain social distancing and listen to government directives on the best way out of the pandemic disease of Coronavirus now ravaging the world.

Meanwhile, speaking at the local government secretariat, Itoro venue of the distribution exercise, the LG party Chairman, Mr Suraju Logere expressed appreciation to the donor for deeming it fit to reach-out to his constituents despite the harsh economic condition of the country. 

In his own words, “Let me sincerely thank Hon Abidemi Rufai for his kind gesture. Some politicians of his sort only come around when they need the vote of the people. But in his own case, he has been consistently identifying with the people,” he added.

Prince Adekunle Aronmolate, the Chairman of ward chairmen in the LG area while receiving the palliatives on behalf of others, showered encomiums on Hon Rufai, and tasked other politicians around to emulate his philanthropic lifestyle.
