ABEOKUTA - The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), will on May 5, 2021 conferred Award of Academic Professor Emeritus on two retirees, Professor Michael Tunde Adetunji of the Department of Soil Science and Land Management, College of Plant Science and Crop Production (COLPLANT) and Professor Oluwafunmilayo Ayoka Adebambo of the Department of Animal Breeding and Genetics, College of Animal Science and Livestock Production (COLANIM) of the University.
The Award Ceremony according to the Head of Public Relations Directorate of the University, Mr. Kola Adepoju will hold at the University's Ceremonial Building by 10 am while the Commissioning of Projects/Naming of Buildings after two (2) highly revered Principal Officers of the University, will hold at the Project sites immediately after the Award Ceremony
Adepoju said the sprawling Ceremonial Building will be named after the Fourth Substantive Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun while the female hostel popularly known as Marble Hostel because of its ultra-modern standard and status, will be named after the pioneer registrar, Princess Adebisi Soboyejo.
