SPOUTCH Initiatives Trains Over 30 Ogun Youths On Vocational Skills

ABEOKUTA - A Non-Governmental Organization in Ogun State, Sanctified Personified Outreach (SPOUTCH Initiatives), has trained over 30 youths and teenagers in the state on various craft and skill acquisition programmes.

The training which took place simultaneously after A-Day seminar on self-awareness held in Abeokuta on Saturday saw the youths and teenagers training on hairdressing, Barbing, fashion designing, and others.

Speaking at the event, the convener, Evangelist Temiloluwa Taiwo said the training became necessary to productively influence the youths to be self-reliant. 

Evang. Taiwo stressed further that, it is necessary for everyone to be empowered to do that which they have been ordained for.

"There's, therefore, need for us to enquire to be empowered to do that which we are ordained for". she said. 

Quoting from the Holy Bible, Romans 8:29, Evang. Taiwo maintained God has destined man with special skills to excel in any endeavor.

"For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that he might be the firstborn of the brethren".

The guest speaker at the event, Pastor Samson Odegbami speaking on the theme: "why am I here and what am I here for? " stated the importance of discovering one's purpose and realizing man's existence on earth.

The clergyman stated that success is about fulfilling purpose and knowing one's personality, saying without fulfilling purpose, true success cannot be made. 

He pointed out that passion, personality, potential and revelat,ion can help to point out one's purpose on earth. 

The beneficiaries were, however, urged to make use of every knowledge they acquire and to walk in alignment with God's purpose for their lives.
