Ogun IRS Boss Commends Reigning Real Estate Firm, Pelican For Housing Initiatives

ABEOKUTA - Ogun State Internal Revenue Service (OGIRS) has commended a leading real estate firm, Pelican Valley Nigeria Ltd, and its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dr. Babatunde Adeyemo, for providing solution to housing challenges of Nigerians through investment drive and providing job opportunities for the youths in the State. 

OGIRS particularly commended Adeyemo for the emerging independent and self - sustaining economic community initiative in a friendly ecosystem along Kobape  - Masa axis of Ogun state through his autarky project, saying it is a thing to be proud of.

The OGIRS Chairman, Mr Olugbenga Olaleye, gave the commendation when the Pelican Valley CEO and his team visited him at the agency's office in Okemosan, Abeokuta, the state capital, on Tuesday.

The Pelican Valley Nigeria Ltd, the brain behind Pelican Valley Estate and Pelican Brief, was in OGIRS on courtesy to familiarize the chairman with the novel Pelican/Gateway Economic Autarky Project in the state.

Olaleye who was impressed with the projection presentation said: "We laud Pelican Valley Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Babatunde Adeyemo for he is doing in our dear state. We're proud of your initiatives."

Speaking earlier, Adeyemo congratulated the OGIRS boss on his well deserved accomplishment in terms of capacity building of the agency's staff and impressive achievements in terms of revenue generation for the state.

Adeyemo noted that Olaleye's efforts had enhanced internal revenue generation and ease of paying taxes through digitalization of the tax payment gateway, saying the feat propelled Pelican-Valley to seek area of synergy with the agency in order to add value as well as complement its numerous achievements with the Pelican -Valley success stories in the nations real estate sector. 

He said: "We are here to primarily share with you our vision and mission towards creating a self-sustaining economy that would also serve as bedrock for sustainable urbanization and internally generated revenue that will enhance economy sustainability and also stand the test of time.

"We want to ignite the Gateway smart city of our dream as Urbanization lies not just in the hand of the government, but likewise collective effort of the private investors and stakeholders in the real Estate sector in the state in line with the mandate of the Prince Dapo Abdiodun’s Led Administration.

"Pelican Valley Nigeria limited had played a vital role in the state urbanization and controlled development strategy in Ogun State government in general. 

"The emergence and the launch of Pelican Brief Estate, Kobape had played an integral role in generation of revenue for the state government, ranging from various stamp duties from clients and investors, also bringing over one thousand Nigerians in diasporas into the Ogun State governments Tax drag net, through payment of stamp duties and building approval levies apart from the corresponding job creation effects of our project.

"To us this is just a starting point as we are set to ignite some project within the Kobape region that will help aid, sustain and generate more revenue to the coffers of the state government and also aid controlled development, proper planning and Urbanization and most importantly boost the agricultural production base of the state in no small measures.

"Today,  Pelican Brief Estate is the only Estate with a full Government Approved layout,  in the last threevyears of this administrations lifespan, having fulling meticulously,  all the conditions and requirements from all the relevant Government agencies.

"The Pelican's Gateway Economic Autarky project contains four sub project namely; The Pelican's Ecostay Apartments, The Pelican Brief Estate, The Pelican's Greenish Acres Farm Estate and The pelican Farm Market. (As it was in our frame).
